Lee Kobilca
Lee has continued to maintain a high level of fitness well into his forties. He has been able to achieve this while holding a high stress career as a broker/trader and being a family man. He has used fitness to overcome many obstacles in his life, such as stress, asthma, a major accident, sports injuries and a debilitating back(diagnosed as needing surgery).

He believes in building a sustainable healthy lifestyle, balance, legacy, efficiency and high performance. Lee is an avid mountain biker, skier, foodie, swimmer, yogi, weightlifter and extreme motor sports hobbyist.

Lee is a graduate of Michigan State University, holds a National Academy of Sports Medicine personal trainer certification, USA Track & Field's Level 1 Coach and a Precision Nutrition certification. He has a life long learning mentality. He continually researches fitness, health and movement.

Lee's Philosophy
Every “Body” Can Be Strong
Every “body” can be strong. Improve metabolism, body composition, bone density, connective tissue, and aesthetics. Strengthening the muscles helps protect your joints and improve your back. Strong feels good and will carry over into daily life, tasks and sports.
I believe in balance. A multi-pronged approach to a healthy lifestyle. Eat well and use flexible eating. Use cardio and high intensity interval training(HIIT) for conditioning. Engage in well being with a breathing and mobility practice. I passionately believe Strength training is a necessity.

It is possible to lose 3-5% muscle mass per decade after the age of 30. This is exacerbated by busy lives, less physical activities and desk jobs. Other contributors are chronic dieting and over cardio-ing. Throughout this our metabolism suffers.

With time being a rare commodity in our world, I think proper weight training to be the best bang for your buck. I believe in high performance and efficiency. I use compound movements that recruit maximum muscle and progress them linearly. This cycle of stress, recovery and adaption garners a hormonal response and speeds up metabolism. This also contributes to body re-composition.

I will teach and train the Starting Strength Method, the big four compound barbell movements of the squat, deadlift, bench press and military press. We will progress the weights safely in a linear fashion, eventually adding some accessory exercises such as power cleans and pull-ups.

The optimal program will consist of three workouts per week with at least one day rest in between. We will squat and deadlift every workout and alternate the pressing movements.

Trainees will learn the most efficient ways to leverage their body to move weight, look and feel better. Everything is easier when you are strong.

I also would like to counter the myth that women will get “bulky”. Woman who strength train will build lean shapely physiques. Weight training will likely improve the well being of all.

Try it and let's get strong.
